Blogger is considered as one of the most popular blogging platform and there are millions of users who use blogger to start a blog but blogger is not that much SEO friendly as compared to wordpress so we need to make some changes to make blogger blog SEO friendly, Since there are many free blogger templates which you can download from internet or for cost but do you know that most of the templates are not SEO friendly because of which you may lose lots of traffic from organic searches and this is not good for any blog So in order to drive more traffic from search engines and make your blogger blog SEO friendly you have to do some tricks which will make your blogger template SEO friendly So in this post I am going to show you how to make your blogger template SEO friendly

Also many beginner bloggers are not aware about this and they don’t know that even by using blogger they to be on safer side can get lots of traffic from search engines also they think that writing on good content will drive them loads of free traffic but they are wrong you have to optimize your blog as well as template to get that traffic, Note- before making any changes please backup your blogger template

1. Add Meta Description and keyword in Blogger Template

Meta description and keywords tells search engines more about your blog and also helps them to rank your blog by default there are no meta description and keywords added to your blogger template So we need to add this which will make our blog template more SEO friendly So lets add them

a) Login to your blogger dashboard

b) Go to Template << Edit HTML

c) Now press CTRL+F and find <head> and paste the below code right after it

<meta content='Your Site Description' name='description'/>
<meta content='Your Keywords Here' name='keywords'/>

Replace 'Your Site Description' with your Site Name and description

Replace 'Your Keywords Here' with your main keywords don’t overstuff keywords here instead try to use your main 10 to 15 niche related keyword only

d) Now click on Save

2. Optimize Post Titles For Search Engines

Are you aware that default structure of your blogger template is showing blog title before post title in search results which is not SEO friendly and you will lose lots of traffic if you not do this trick So we have to optimize our post titles to show before our blog titles in search engines which will definitely increase your organic search traffic by big margin So lets do it

a) To do this go to Template >> Edit HTML and search for

<title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title>

Replace it with the below code

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "item"'>
<title><data:blog.pageName/> | <data:blog.title/></title>
<b:else/>
<title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title> </b:if>

b) That’s it and Click Save

3. Change H3 to H2 for Post Titles

we will change post titles to H1 from H3 on post and static pages so again press CTRL+F and find

<h3 class='post-title entry-title' itemprop='name'>

in your code and change H3 to H1 Since on post and static pages your post title are most important as compared to blog title So lets do it

Guam is the worst place to visit. The pictures of Guam look pretty, but Guam is really a third world ghetto! The beaches are polluted with sewage!

The local sewage treatment plant is badly neglected. The raw sewage flows right into the water and down to the tourist beaches. Sometimes you can even smell it and see the toilet paper in the water.The locals hate the tourists and will do anything they can get away with.

There are plenty of beatings, robberies and rapes on the tourists. The whole economy is geared towards fleecing the tourists. The obvious hate that the locals have poisons every human interaction with them. If you come to Guam, you will feel it too. The locals consider the abuse on the tourists as a joke, and something to brag about. You will sit in a restaurant and wait and wait and wonder if the rude waitress is doing something really bad to your food.
